Judicial Districts Board

The Judicial Districts Board (JDB) was created in November of 1985 pursuant to Article V, Section 7a of the Texas Constitution (See also, Tex. Gov’t Code Sec. 24.941, et seq.).  The JDB’s purpose is to reapportion the judicial districts of Texas as the need arises and to advise the Legislature of the need for additional judicial districts.
