Register a Guardianship
This guardianship status means the JBCC has received confirmation from the county that the proposed guardian has qualified for guardianship and the guardianship is active with the county.
This represents the status of your application in the registration process. Under View Pending Online Applications on your profile's home page, hover your mouse over the status to see the descriptive text which explains what the status means.

The license number of the attorney.
The case number assigned to the guardianship by the court.
An individual that provides guardianship services for a living. The guardian passed the guardian certification exam and was issued a certification number and expiration date by the JBCC. This individual may be appointed as guardian to various individuals, their estates, or both the individuals and their estates.
This guardianship statue means the JBCC has received confirmation from the county that the guardianship has been closed. This can occur for various reasons, such as the following:
- when it is transferred to another county,
- the ward has passed away,
- the guardianship was not renewed by the county, or
- a successor guardian was appointed, etc.
This occurs when the court notifies the JBCC the guardianship has been terminated, dismissed, transferred, non-suited, the protected person is deceased, or the protected person no longer needs a guardian.
This is the person authorities would contact if they cannot get ahold of the ward’s guardian. This is not the guardian’s contact information.
An entity that employs GC’s who provide guardianship services to protected persons.
This is the status of the guardianship the applicant has filed with the court.
This guardianship status means the JBCC has not yet received confirmation from the county that the proposed guardian has been deemed qualified for guardianship.
An individual appointed by the court that is not certified by the JBCC. This individual is usually seeking to be appointed guardian over a friend or family member, their estate, or both the individual and their estate.
This is the required “account” individuals and guardianship programs must create in our online system. Once created, they can submit the required guardianship registration applications for any guardianships they’ve filed for with the county.

An individual, or program, appointed guardian to a protected person (i.e., ward) prior to 06/01/2018.
The individual, or entity, that has filed for guardianship with the county but has yet to be appointed by the court.
The number assigned to your registration application.
This application status means the application was withdrawn either by staff or by the applicant. Staff will withdraw an application for various reasons, including but not limited to the following:
- the application has been inactive for 2 years or more,
- the applicant requested it be withdrawn,
- we've received confirmation from the county that the guardian has not been qualified for guardianship.
This is generally used when a registration was submitted in error and had to be withdrawn, when the guardian has requested to have it withdrawn, etc.
