Licensure through Standard Procedures
Applicants must meet the requirements set forth below to be eligible for this option, which allows them to bypass orientation course requirements. Determinations are not made until your application, and all required documentation has been submitted to our office.
- You must be a military service member or veteran.
- You must have verifiable military experience, training, or education relevant to the license you seek.
To apply for certification or licensure, you must do the following:
- Submit the application for certification via our online licensing system. Select the fee waiver option for Military Applicant.
- You must upload a copy of your DD-214 to your application.
- You must submit the Exam Registration form, if you're seeking to be licensed as a court interpreter or (professional) guardian.
- Court reporter applicants must submit their exam registration forms through our exam vendor. See the Exam page of the court reporter department's website for more information.
- Process servers do not have an exam requirement.
- Pass a state and national background check.
