Texas Forensic Science Commission

Dr. Stacey Mitchell of Magnolia is a distinguished clinical professor at the Texas A&M University College of Nursing and serves as the Director of the University's Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing. With over 30 years of experience in forensic nursing, she is a recognized leader in the field. Dr. Mitchell previously chaired the Houston Forensic Science Center and has held numerous influential roles, including past president of the International Association of Forensic Nursing and founding board member of the Academy of Forensic Nursing. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Dr. Mitchell earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
