About the Texas Business Court 

The Texas Business Court is a statewide, specialized trial court created to resolve certain complex business disputes. The Court is composed of eleven geographical divisions consistent with the existing Administrative Judicial Regions. Five of those divisions are now operational.

The Texas Business Court, inclusive of all eleven divisions, is served by one Clerk of Court, located in Austin, Texas.

Pro Hac Vice Applications by Nonresident Attorneys

A nonresident licensed attorney who wishes to appear in a case in the Court but is not licensed in Texas must comply with Rule 19 of the Rules Governing Admission to the Bar of Texas and Texas Government Code § 82.0361.

These forms, when completed and filed, are acceptable in substance to the Judges of the Texas Business Court and are provided here to assist parties and their nonresident licensed attorneys in obtaining admission to the Court in connection with a specific case.
