Site Policies
The Office of Court Administration (OCA) hosts and supports websites for the Judicial Branch, including the Supreme Court of Texas, the Court of Criminal Appeals, the 14 intermediate appellate courts[1], the State Prosecuting Attorney, the Office of Capital and Forensic Writs, the State Law Library, and the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. These websites are used to disseminate information to the public and to provide transparency into Judicial Branch operations.
Security Provided
For any pages or applications requesting information (including the entry of a username or password), OCA protects the connection using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) v3 and Transport Layer Security (TLS) v2 to provide assurance that users are communicating with OCA-provided servers and that the link is encrypted.
OCA also monitors network traffic to prevent malware or other harmful software from infecting and propagating through its servers.
Information Collected
OCA uses Google Analytics to collect information on how Judicial Branch websites are used. This service assigns a person a random cookie identifier and does not collect any personally identifiable information. If you do not wish to participate in this data collection, please disable all third-party cookies. OCA uses this data to ensure content on our websites is relevant and is easy to find.
