David F. Farris (1986 to 1994)

David F. Farris, a Fort Worth native, attended Baylor University for both his undergraduate and law degrees.  

After graduating from law school, Farris moved back to Fort Worth and worked in private practice for over twenty years.  As a practitioner, Farris handled a wide array of legal matters, including criminal, civil, and appellate cases, and appeared before both the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.  In 1986, Farris was elected to the Second Court of Appeals.  He served on the court for nearly a decade before returning to private practice in 1994.

Farris has been Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law since 1989.  He is a Texas Bar Foundation fellow, a member of the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court, and a former council member of the State Bar of Texas’s Appellate Section.  He continues to practice law in Fort Worth, focusing on appellate law.
