Raymond Halbert Buck (1914 to 1932)
Raymond Halbert Buck was born on July 8, 1869, in Waco, Texas. He was educated at Belton Male Academy and the University of Texas. Upon his graduation from law school, he practiced law and served two years as superintendent of the Parker County school district, then four years as superintendent of Tarrant County schools. He also served as Assistant Tarrant County Attorney from 1900 to 1904.
In 1909, he became the judge of the 48th District Court in Tarrant County. In 1914, he was elected to the Second Court of Appeals. He served as President of the Association of Appellate Judges of Texas in 1930.
Buck died in 1932, shortly before the end of his third term as a justice. He is buried in Greenwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Fort Worth.
