Ben W. Boyd (1953 to 1962)
Benjamin Wade Boyd was born on March 25, 1894, in Lewisville, Texas. After receiving his LL.B. degree from Cumberland University Law School in 1914, he practiced law in Denton and served as Denton County Attorney. He served as a district judge in Denton from 1928 to 1952. He joined the Second Court of Appeals in 1953 and served as a justice until his retirement in 1962. He passed away on April 8, 1964, and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
