Gordon L. Gray (1985)

Gordon Lindsey Gray was born in Monroe, Texas, in 1931.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in 1951 and his law degree from the University of Houston in 1957.  He also received a master’s degree in political science from Syracuse University.

Gray was an Assistant District Attorney in Tarrant County, and from 1963 to 1964, he served with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission.  From 1970 to 1984, he served as a Criminal District Judge in Tarrant County.  He joined the Second Court of Appeals on January 1, 1985, and stepped down on March 4, 1985.

After leaving the Second Court of Appeals, Gray was of counsel to Moore & Moore in Fort Worth.  In addition to his law practice, he taught as an Adjunct Professor at Texas Christian University and the University of Texas at Arlington.  He passed away on January 16, 2009.
